General informations
Before generating a Postscript file, better you check out whole elements inside the page in order to:
Fonts
Need to be all activated and not corrupted. True Type use is suggested. In case of symbol “€” please use a specific font or indicate the use of standard fonts.
Images
All images have to be in YMCK. As RGB isn’t accepted. If using EPS images, color postscript management have to be disconnected.
Colors
All colours need to be in YMCK. All elements in K100 will be overprinted. In order to have K100 reversed out, keep C1%-M1%-Y1%-K100% underneath.
Special Colours
Never more than two of them and they have to be generate as PMS (Pantone Matching System)(screened or not). All TIFF generated in grayscale as PMS will be converted in YMCK: therefore they can’t be turn in special colour.
Postscript with one or more special colour
Generally, a PS document with one or more special colour (screened or not) need to be generated as composite file. (special colour flag is activated)
Only in particular cases, as for instance special colour shade or picture with special colour, please manage the picture with Photoshop DCS 1 e DCS2 keeping the option separation activated saving file.
As far as trapping's and overprint's informations is concerning, they must have managed from who produces the PS document for the printer.
